Collection: Lupercalia

Lupercalia was inspired by the cult of Juno Februata (or purified Juno), a goddess once invoked by women in times of illness or to ask for protection during pregnancy, especially in the critical moment of childbirth. The celebrations took place on 15th of February with cleansing ceremonies and fertility rituals.
