Three herbal smudges to lift the veil between us and the other side, to inspire remembrance and honouring of the ancestors.

White Sage (Salvia Apiana), also known as the Sacred Sage is the traditional herb dried and rolled into sticks for smudging. This very variety is an evergreen herb that is native to the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico, found mainly in the coastal habitat of Southern California and Baja California, on the western edges of the Mojave and Sonoran deserts.

Rosemary (Salvia Rosmarinus), topical from the Mediterranean Region, was used in ancient times, by Greeks and Romans, to strengthen memory; during moments of meditation and regression its scent can therefore help recall facts from the depths of  the past. 

Cedar (Cedrus Elegant), is historically associated with power and longevity; its wood has been used for centuries to build coffins, for it is very resistant to the elements’ weathering and therefore fit for accompanying the dead into the afterlife. With its sharp, energising aroma, Cedar scent should inspire remembrance and honouring of the ancestors.

Caution: Never leave burning Smudge Sticks nor Palo Santo Wood Sticks unattended and always keep it away from children. Always use a suitable burner for the burning of smudging supplies.
